Yes, video and photography are offered as separate services, so you can book just a videographer, just a photographer, or a combined photo-and-film package. Many couples choose the combined option because it’s more cost-effective than booking two separate teams and ensures the photography and film crews are already coordinated on timing and coverage.

If you’re only looking for video, let us know when you reach out and we’ll quote a film-only package based on your ceremony length and coverage needs.

Drone footage is included where weather, venue rules, and flight restrictions allow, and it’s a great way to capture your ceremony location, reception setup, or the surrounding landscape in Jaco and the Central Pacific. We do not currently offer same-day edited wedding films that screen at the reception itself; our films go through a full edit after the wedding and are typically delivered within 4 to 5 weeks.

If a specific shot or drone moment matters to you, mention it in advance so we can plan the timeline and confirm it’s possible at your venue.

Yes. We regularly photograph Catholic Masses, church weddings, and other religious ceremonies throughout Costa Rica, including in churches with restrictions on flash, movement, or drone use. We coordinate with the officiant or church staff ahead of time so we know where we can stand, when photography is and isn’t permitted, and how to work quietly and respectfully during the ceremony itself.

If your ceremony has specific religious or cultural traditions we should plan around, mention them when you book so we can prepare accordingly.

Absolutely — elopements and proposals are some of our favorite sessions to capture. Many couples choose Costa Rica specifically for an intimate, low-key alternative to a large wedding, and we tailor these sessions to feel personal rather than staged.

For elopements, we typically recommend a quiet beach at sunrise or sunset, a private garden, or a scenic overlook near Jacó, Los Sueños, or Manuel Antonio — locations that don’t require special permits for a small group. Sessions usually run 1–2 hours and can include just the couple, an officiant, and a couple of witnesses.

For proposals, we work with you ahead of time to scout a location and timing that keeps the moment a surprise, then photograph discreetly from a distance so it feels natural rather than posed.

Our standard wedding highlight films run from about 3 to 8 minutes, depending on the package, and are edited to feel like a cinematic recap of your day rather than a full, unedited replay. They typically include your vows, key reception moments, and ambient sound from the ceremony set to music.

Most of our wedding packages include one lead photographer, with a second shooter added for four-hour and full-day coverage. A second photographer is especially useful for capturing both partners getting ready at the same time, wide reception shots, and candid guest reactions the lead photographer would otherwise miss.

For larger weddings, multiple venues, or ceremonies with more than 100 guests, we can recommend adding a second shooter even to shorter packages. Let us know your guest count and timeline when you reach out, and we’ll suggest the right coverage for your day.

Wedding photography pricing in Costa Rica varies quite a bit depending on coverage hours, whether video is included, and how far the venue is from Jacó. As a general guide, a half-day of photography coverage for an intimate wedding or elopement typically starts in the lower hundreds of dollars, while full-day coverage with a second shooter and video add-ons runs higher.

The exact numbers depend on a few things: how many hours of coverage you need, whether you want a same-day highlight reel or full cinematic film alongside photos, travel distance if your venue is outside the Central Pacific area, and how many final edited images and albums you’d like included.

The Central Pacific coast around Jacó has some of Costa Rica’s most photogenic wedding settings, and we work at all of them regularly.

Los Sueños Resort & Marina is a favorite for couples who want a resort-style wedding with ocean and marina views, upscale amenities, and easy access for out-of-town guests flying into Juan Santamaría or the local Jacó area.

Zephyr Palace, perched above Jacó, offers a more dramatic, all-inclusive villa setting with sweeping coastline views — popular for destination weddings with a smaller, closer guest list.

Manuel Antonio, just south of Jacó, pairs jungle and beach scenery in one location and works well for couples who want to combine their wedding with a few extra days of vacation among the national park and nearby beaches.

The right fit depends on more than a beautiful portfolio. Look for a photographer who has real experience shooting in Costa Rica’s light, humidity, and outdoor venues, since tropical weddings behave differently than studio or indoor events. Ask to see full weddings, not just highlight reels, so you can judge consistency across an entire day.
